Calculates a CRC value, or MD5 hash value of decoded audio data only, from input file.
Normally audio files have headers and ID Tags, which if using a traditional CRC calculator it would include those items also. Using this utility will generate the CRC value of the decoded audio data only which does not change with tag edits.
Can also be used to compare audio of two files, to verify they are identical. To do so, select both files >> Conert To, choose [Calculate Audio CRC] as the encoder and the CRCs shown at the end should be the same.
